The Myth
Narechnici are three demonic women who possess the power to predict the destiny of a newborn child. They arrive on the third night after the child’s birth to determine or pronounce its fate.
The Narechnici are sometimes described as three sisters. Two of them are evil and pronounce harmful curses upon the child, while the youngest sister is good and undoes the evil curses of her two older sisters.
