The Myth
The Jingjing is a supernatural creature from Chinese folklore associated with sharks. It is capable of transforming into either a beautiful woman or a man.
One account tells of a married couple who take in a woman claiming to have suffered abuse at the hands of her stepmother. The woman is not what she appears to be, however, for she is actually a supernatural spirit of a shark.
