The Myth
The Kaka is a fantastic man-eating monster from the folklore of Madagascar. It is described as a creature capable of killing and consuming human beings.
According to a Malagasy tale, a Kaka once devoured a man and left only his bones behind. After the creature had finished eating him, the man’s bones remained scattered upon the ground.
The Kaka then rubbed the man’s bones against the earth. Through this strange act, the dead man was brought back to life after having been eaten by the monster.
