The Myth
Obrigwabibikwa is a dwarf-like being of Mbuti mythology who possesses the supernatural ability to transform himself into a gigantic reptile. His small humanoid form contrasts sharply with the enormous reptilian shape he can assume.
The surviving description gives little further detail about his appearance, behavior, or the circumstances in which he transforms. His defining characteristic is therefore his ability to cross the boundary between a dwarf-like humanoid and a giant reptilian creature.
