On November 21, after receiving a response from Ludovico, the community once again made their stance clear: their issue was not with Ludovico’s rule, but with Giovanni di Subieti himself. They strongly opposed his position, dismissing him as nothing more than an “empiric and a barber.”

In the two years that Giovanni had served among them, he had failed to make a single praiseworthy cure. His lack of skill and credibility as a healer led the community to reject him outright, making it clear that they did not trust him with their health and well-being.
